Start with your booking details
When you need check-in help, begin with the information already attached to your stay. Your booking confirmation and booking details page are the main places to look for check-in instructions because they are tied to the property you booked.
Check-in instructions may include door codes, key pickup locations, or another access method. Hosts typically send specific instructions 24-48 hours before arrival. If your check-in date is close and the instructions are still missing, message the host directly through the app.
Change booking dates:
- Open Profile tab.
- Open Bookings.
- Select the booking.
- Tap Modify Booking.

A property-specific issue during the stay: contact the host through the app first. The host is usually best placed to help with the property itself. If the issue cannot be resolved with the host, contact our support team through Help Center.

Cancellations:

Review the property's cancellation policy before confirming. The property's policy may affect the refund amount.

App problems: start with basic troubleshooting: close and reopen the app, check for updates in your app store, restart your device, check your internet connection, and on Android clear the app cache or reinstall the app. If the issue continues, contact technical support with details about the problem, including your device model and operating system version.

Emergencies: call local emergency services immediately. Host messages and Help Center are not a substitute for emergency services.
Know the booking decision points

A cancellation also depends on the selected booking. The three standard cancellation policy types are Flexible, Moderate, and Strict. They differ by deadline and refund amount: Flexible gives a full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before check-in, Moderate gives a full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in, and Strict gives a 50% refund if cancelled at least 7 days before check-in. The policy that matters is the one shown on the listing page or in your booking details.
This prevents two common mistakes: treating a missing-instructions issue as a cancellation problem, or assuming one refund result applies to every property. Check the booking first, then choose the action that matches the issue.
If something is blocking your arrival
If you are close to arrival and cannot find the door code, key pickup location, or access method, do not guess. Check the booking confirmation and booking details, then message the host through the app if the information is still missing. If the issue happens during the stay and the host cannot resolve it, use Help Center.
If the app itself will not open when you need stay information, work through the technical steps before escalating: reopen the app, update it if an update is available, restart the device, check the connection, and on Android clear the cache or reinstall. When contacting technical support, include what went wrong, the device model, and the operating system version.
A simple order keeps the process clear: booking details for stay information, host messaging for property-specific help, Help Center for unresolved stay issues, technical support for persistent app problems, and local emergency services for immediate danger.
